September 26, 2007—The Provident Bank Foundation has joined the Satori Athletic Organization in support of SAO’s Athlete’s Edge Project, a combined workshop, academic advisement, and personal profile development initiative for high school athletes. Provident has provided a partial grant to assist in the Project’s facilitation. Various colleges throughout the State of New Jersey will serve as host to the Project slated to begin Fall 2007. June 5, 2007—SAO hosted a fundraising reception at the South Orange Performing Arts Center. The event, “An Evening of Purpose for Young Athletes” was slated to raise funds to provide support services for student athletes and their guardians in the Greater Newark Metropolitan area. March 19, 2007—SAO attended the NJSIAA/Shoprite Tournament of Champions game at the Continental Arena. It was truly an exciting game between University and Trenton high school Girls Basketball teams with tremendous effort displayed from both squads. Congratulations to the University High, School of the Humanities. The Lady Phoenix rallied to pull off a 68-62 win over Trenton and now hold the title TOC title.
